September 28, 2010 – The associations Te Mana o te Moana and Tetiaroa Society joined the Minister of Tourism, Steeve Hamblin, on Tetiaroa to mark the World Tourism Day with a special emphasis on biodiversity. Two green sea turtle hatchlings were released into Tetiaroa’s lagoon in observation of this day.
